Lofoten is the most beautiful island in the world. More than 1.000.000 visitors come every year to explore the area.
Northern Explorer created tours with the perfect combination: trekking through the spectacular landscape of Lofoten, sleeping on the white sandy beach while listening the waves of the ocean, kayaking the famous fjords and walking on the second largest glacier in Norway.
This tour is perfect for anyone who has a short time to visit Lofoten but would like to taste different activities. Come join us on this amazing tour where you don‘t need to have any previous experience just to be cheerful and adventurous.
We start at Selfjord where we meet the group and after a short orientation we begin our first hike. The goal of the day is to reach the famous Horseidvika beach (5-6 hours moderate hike) where we will spend the night. There is no better way to stretch our body after a long walk than watching the midnight sun, enjoying the campfire and having a delicious “outdoor” dinner.
The second day is starting with a wonderful view and breakfast. To get our next destination we have to hike another 1-2 hours to arrive to our kayaks and start paddling to Reine. Reine (does not need any introduction) we are going to have time to walk around, take some pictures before we head to our camping spot to Moskenes, where we can fresh up.
The third day starts early as we have to catch the 7:00 am ferry to Bodo with car and kayaks. The journey takes approx. 3-4 hours before we reach Bodo and hit the road to Kilvik. From Kilvik we are paddling 2-3 hours until we reach the last base camp. If the first night was amazing the third night will be definitely unforgettable. The campfire and the view will make you feel the happiest person in the world.
The last day starts early as we have to hike 4 km to the glacier, where we will have a safety briefing regarding the equipment, route etc.
The glacier walk is a unique experience with sunshine or rain and our highly experineced guide will make sure of fun and safety (and opportunities for great pictures).
Saying goodbye to the glacier will be hard but we have to head back home. With full of good memories and amazing pictures, the way back is going to pass fast.
After our late arrival in Bodo we say goodbye and thank you for joining us!
Join us and you will have the outdoor experience of a lifetime!
